Terms and Conditions

  1. MEMBERSHIP CONDITIONS there shall be two classes of members in CCNC, namely, Class A members and Class B members. The board of directors of CCNC may, by resolution, approve the admission of the members of CCNC. Members may also be admitted in such other manner as may be prescribed by the board by resolution. The following conditions of membership shall apply:

    1. CLASS A MEMBERS

      1. Class A voting membership shall be available to persons who have applied and have been accepted for Class A voting membership in CCNC.

      2. The term of membership of a Class A voting member shall be annual, subject to renewal in accordance with the policies of CCNC.

      3. As set out in the articles, each Class A voting member is entitled to receive notice of, attend and vote at all meetings of members and each such Class A voting member shall be entitled to one (1) vote at such meetings.

    2. CLASS B MEMBERS

      1. Class B non-voting membership shall be available to persons who have applied and have been accepted for Class B non-voting membership in CCNC.

      2. The term of membership of a Class B non-voting member shall be annual, subject to renewal in accordance with the policies of CCNC.

      3. Subject to the Act and the articles, a Class B non-voting member shall not be entitled to receive notice of, attend or vote at meetings of the members of CCNC.

  2. MEMBERSHIP START DATE: The start date for any new membership shall be the 1st day of the month after the membership fee is received by CCNC.

  3. BENEFIT START DATE: Benefits shall be activated on the day payment is received.

  4. DURATION OF MEMBERSHIP: Memberships shall last for 12 months from the membership start date.

  5. RENEWAL DATE: The renewal date shall be the first day of the month, 12 months following the initial membership start date, and shall continue annually thereafter.

  6. RENEWAL FEES DUE: Renewal fees are due by the renewal date.

  7. GRACE PERIOD: a one-month grace period, from the renewal date to the last day of that month is available for all members on an annual basis.

  8. END OF THE GRACE PERIOD: If payment has not been received by the end of the grace period, member benefits shall be deactivated.

  9. RETAINING OF INFORMATION: Once a membership has been deactivated, member information shall be retained for at least a year on the CCNC website.

  10. BENEFITS: Members are entitled to the benefits outlined on the website as approved by the Board of Directors of the Creative City Network. CCNC shall endeavour to communicate any changes in advance, however membership benefits are subject to change without notice.

  11. PRIVACY: All information concerning the business affairs of the CCNC and its members shall be treated as strictly confidential both by CCNC and between members. CCNC and members of CCNC may share their proprietary information as they see fit.

  12. ENGAGEMENT STANDARDS: Members agree to be supportive, open, honest, respectful and courteous in all actions and engagements with CCNC and fellow members.

  13. INFORMATION: Members agree to provide true, accurate and complete information on their profile(s) that shall be kept up to date by the member, including current primary contact and secondary contact email addresses.

  14. FEES: Fees are updated annually and posted on the CCNC Website. From time to time CCNC will update its fees. CCNC shall inform all members of fee increases with at least one month’s notice.

  15. TERMINATION: Membership may be terminated by CCNC according to the current CCNC by-laws. A member may terminate their membership with one month’s written notice. Written application for refunds for a portion of the membership fee shall be considered by the finance committee and board of directors upon receipt of application.

  16. EXCUSE OF OBLIGATION: If any obligation under this Agreement or part thereof is rendered impossible or impractical by any act or regulation of a public authority or bureau, civil tumult, civil strike, epidemic, interruption in or delay of transportation services, war conditions, or emergencies, fire or any cause beyond the reasonable control of the parties, it is understood and agreed that neither party to this Agreement will make a claim for compensation or damages against the other and both party’s obligations herein will be deemed waived, and at the option of the CCNC, rescheduled within a twelve (12) month period, if mutually agreeable.
