The Town of Oakville is redeveloping the former Oakville Trafalgar Memorial Hospital (OTMH) lands that will see a new community centre, neighbourhood park, future
residential area and seniors-oriented housing block to meet the needs of Oakville residents. The project is being rolled out in phases with the building of the Southeast Community Centre (SECC) and neighbourhood park as a first priority. The anticipated opening date of the SECC and park is Fall 2020.
The SECC will have a contemporary building design that respects the heritage character of the surrounding neighbourhood as well the designated high school. It
will include a 25-metre lap pool, a warm water pool, a double gymnasium, a fitness centre with a running track, multipurpose meeting rooms and space for intergenerational programming.
