Victoria Park Public Art Project - Call to Artists [RFI]

City of Kingston

The Corporation of the City of Kingston invites expressions of interest from artists or artist teams interested in working with the City of Kingston to develop an artwork for the recently rejuvenated Victoria Park. The park acts as a community hub with many recreational amenities. The proposed work is intended to enhance the experience of the park, as well as be fully accessible.

Artists who work in a diverse range of mediums as well as identify as emerging, mid-career and established artists are encouraged to apply. This public art call is held in accordance with the City of Kingston Public Art Policy.

An artwork proposal is not requested at this time. Through this RFI process, the City of Kingston will identify up to five artists or artist led teams who will be invited to propose works to the Jury, City of Kingston Staff and the broader Kingston community. There will be a community engagement component in the selection of this work in accordance with the City of Kingston’s Community Engagement Framework.

Please contact Taylor Norris, Public Art Coordinator for the City of Kingston for a copy of the RFI. Submissions to the RFI are due May 30th at 3:00:00 pm.

Any inquiries or clarification regarding this Request for Information shall be directed, by email, by 3:00:00 p.m., May 15th, 2018.
