You’re passionate about visual storytelling and have a history of working on projects that include a high level of polish and complexity. You are comfortable leveraging your technical and aesthetic skills to craft unique creative productions.  You are an integral member of our production team, providing unique artistic skills and mentorship to the team around you.   
Job Duties:

  • Collaborate with our talented creative team and global clients to deliver world class animation projects
  • Lead design efforts on applicable projects, building assets that bring concepts to life
  • Communicate, articulate and defend design choices and concepts via mood-boards, sketches etc
  • Work within Tendril’s 3D pipeline, delivering your work in a compatible format, finding ways to make our team and process efficient
  • Support Tendril’s pitch efforts by contributing assets, highlighting risk and defining scope/timeline requirements
  • Regularly turn around feedback from client, responding to all requests in a timely manner with a detailed and measured approach
  • Provide mentorship and guidance to intermediate and junior members of the team, empowering them to grow their skills through your clear feedback and direction
  • Ensure your project contributions adhere to the production schedule defined by the project leadership team, delivering your work in a consistent and correct format
  • Work independently and hands-on in across a variety of productions, growing your skills in programs including Maya, Zbrush, Adobe Creative Suite, Substance Painter, and KeyShot
  • Pursue endless boundary pushing opportunities, consistently striving to acquire new skills related to software, animation and design
  • Infuse your work with your knowledge of current trends in areas including typography, fashion, architecture and contemporary art

Job Requirements:

  • At least 10 years of design and animation experience, working as part of an animation pipeline
  • At least 8 years of experience handling Adobe Creative Suite
  • At least 5 years of experience handling Zbrush
  • A strong understanding and grasp of KeyShot and Substance Painter
  • Experience working on projects within a production setting, creating characters in 2D and 3D
  • Experience completing work with top tier, global brands (Nike, Facebook, Lenovo, Microsoft, etc.  )
  • Strong troubleshooting, problem solving, and prioritization skills
  • Post secondary degree or diploma in a field directly related to design and animation

Additional information:

  • Position: Permanent full time
  • Salary: $80,000 annually
