Alberta – The Great Western Muse Cruise The Great Western Muse Cruise is an electronic showcase of Canadian arts and culture – presented in a format for travelers. The Cruise offers culture seekers maps and information for getting the most out of a trip to Western Canada. The website lists galleries, studios, museums and theatres with an emphasis on cultural venues and includes bonus features including suggested theme tours like Artists on the Rails. Website
Halifax Regional Municipality – Halifax Art Map The Halifax Art Map is a community-initiated project; the municipality provides the digital map upon which the Art Map is produced. The map is a guide for residents and visitors to locate prominent arttist studios and galleries. In 2003, the second year a printed version of the map was produced, the Halifax Art Map focused on the urban core of the Halifax Regional Municipality. Okanagan Region, BC - The Okanagan Cultural Corridor (Creative City Network of Canada) The Okanagan Cultural Corridor is a cultural tourism initiative encompassing 3 regional districts, over 25 communities, and more than 210 cultural providers. The Kelowna-based organization functions as a regional marketing and development vehicle for cultural tourism. It is working to develop cultural tourism routes in the region, set up a tourism performance tracking program for cultural attractions, and create a 'clearing house' of information, tools and advocacy for the entire cultural sector in the Okanagan and Similkameen Valleys of British Columbia. – An update written by Sandra Kochan for the Creative City Network, March 2004.
