Alberta/Saskatchewan Workshop PDF Print E-mail

More than 25 staff in municipal cultural departments from the provinces of Alberta/ Saskatchewan attended the one day workshop in Sherwood Park, Alberta, presented by the Creative City Network of Canada, with funding from the Department of Canadian Heritage. The workshop was hosted by our County of Strathcona members, Teresa Koslo and Chris Munn.

Cultural Mapping and Cultural Planning: Making the Connection brought together staff in municipal cultural departments for an inspiring and informative 1 day workshop on cultural mapping and cultural planning. The workshop featured the Creative City Network of Canada’s two toolkits: Cultural Mapping by Sue Stewart and Cultural Planning by Anne Russo and Diana Butler. The 2010 workshop included a keynote presentation by the toolkit authors, and practical panel discussions on experiences from the fields. This workshop would not be possible without funding from the Department of Canadian Heritage and sponsorship from the County of Strathcona.
